Building muscle mass is tough no doubt. You have to keep your diet consistently in check, eat enough high protein meals, perform heavy compound exercises a few times per week, and get enough rest so your muscles can recover and grow properly.
I believe that diet is the most important component of the whole mass building phase. It’s also the most difficult component to maintain. Training is not much of a hassle, 3 to 4 times per week, no more than 1 hour per session, it’s pretty easy to maintain but dieting for mass gain on the other hand, requires you to chow 5 - 6 high protein meals daily and for optimum results, you need to do it day in day out, week by week. This is the part where most people fail, they are either lazy or lack the time and financial means to purchase supplements or make 6 protein rich meals on a daily basis.
